FLOORING
There are very few venues large enough to accommodate an event as epic as VDF. This means we are unable to access a sprung dance surface. To support dancers' wellbeing VDF provides the most Tarkett flooring of any dance event in Australia. We provide thousands of metres of Tarkett flooring for all our dance spaces, however, please note that it is rolled out over concrete for the two day event. Installing sprung or wooden flooring for an event of such proportions is not possible, due to the large amount needed to accommodate the many thousands of attendees who need room to dance. We recommend that all dancers wear shoes for all classes, and some dancers may want to wear disposable gel insoles in their shoes, available at most chemists. We also encourage wearing appropriate clothing and utilising accessories to make safe dance choices, taking into consideration the non-sprung surface.

WRISTBANDS
Each attendee will be given a Wristband to wear for the entirety of the Festival. Lost or broken wristbands will not be replaced.

FOOD
FESTIVAL - There will be a variety of Food Trucks and a Coffee Truck available but you are also welcome to bring your own packed lunch. And don't forget your water bottle to keep hydrated. Please avoid bringing nuts to protect those with allergies.
TEACHER CONFERENCE - A fully catered Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Beverages will be provided.
WEATHER
This is an All Weather Event. No refunds will be made if you choose not to attend due to change in circumstance. All event spaces are indoors.

PLEASE BRING
Please bring all your dance shoes for varied styles of dance. Bring jumpers and cover-ups. Make sure to bring any required medications and water to keep hydrated. Feel free to bring a packed lunch or purchase food from the Food Trucks. You may want to bring a change of clothes as things get pretty sweaty, as well as deodorant and a towel. Don't forget your phone/camera to take lots of photos.
DO I HAVE TO JOIN IN EVERY CLASS?
No. If you need a break, feel free to wander the Dance Market or sit down and take a rest. There will be back-to-back classes, with one break for lunch. You can choose to do as much or as little as you wish.
